Here are answers to some frequently asked questions regarding Hello!
Video. It is hoped that these will be helpful.
What is Hello! Video anyway?
According to our most recent press release: "Hello! Video
is a monthly, independent video and performance show, featuring
many local video and performance artists, at a different venue
every month. Hello! Video is collaborative to the point of near-anarchy,
with everything
from
the website
to the
publicity to the show itself being created by a combination of
enthusiastic regulars and new talent, every month."
How do I get you to show my video?
We are always interested in seeing new work. Visit our submissions
page for details.
What role do emotions play in Hello! Video? Does Hello! Video
even have emotions?
Some emotions are realistic and constructive, others aren't. Thus,
some are to be cultivated on the Path [to Hello! Video] and others
abandoned. According to Daniels, love is the wish for all others
to have happiness and its causes, and compassion is the wish for
them to be free of all unsatisfactory Shows and their causes.
Such love and compassion are extended equally to all beings, provided
they are 21 years of age or older.
Are all other video shows bad? What about the desire to put them
down or shun them completely?
This confusion occurs because sometimes the English word "bad"
seems to describe many other video and film Events so well. But
really, those on the Path should simply go about their everyday
lives, trying their best not to pass judgment on these other
Events, unless said events are in some way impacting our enormous
advertising revenue.
Can Hello! Video solve our emotional problems?
That depends on us, our teacher, and our Hello! Video Submission.
In some cases it can. In others, it's more effective if people
seek help from cable television or the Internet, and use Hello!
Video as an adjunct.
What can we do if our family and friends are not supportive or
are even resentful of our interest in Hello! Video?
First, accept that they feel that way and don't get angry about
it. Being irritated at them will only increase the tension, and
we're already pretty drunk as it is. On the other hand, we need
not give up our faith in Hello! Video due to family pressure. Remember
how our "supportive family" reacted to finding our stash
of sweet, sweet cocaine in the dresser? Indeed, if our family cannot
relate to a shrine
with pictures of the Paul Anka, we can keep the pictures in a fire-resistant
safe buried deep within the family plot of land.
Must we go to the Bar Of The Gods to meditate and practice Hello!
Video?
At present there is no other place to achieve Enlightenment.
Is organ donation considered beneficial to Hello! Video?
In general, offering parts of one's body for the benefit of others
is Virtuous. Nowadays this is much easier than in the past because
of heightened awareness of STD's and more commonplace birth control
methods. However, each case must be regarded separately, depending
on one's motivation and the other's State Of Holiness.
How can a lay person experience Hello! Video?
Lay men and women can experience Hello! Video in the same way
as everyone else: by subduing their minds. In some circles, people
underestimate the amount of liquor they have consumed, or rationalize
it by thinking, "I'm a lay person. I'm not that drunk. I can
enjoy these Videos with a clear, open mind." While a clear,
open mind is certainly helpful in some situations such as operating
heavy
machinery or dealing with a cop, this is essentially the antithesis
of Hello! Video, and only harm can come from walking down this
path
What are some common Hello! Video rituals?
Rituals found in Hello! Video practice include The Consuming of
Beer, The Consuming of Some Wine Too, Praising the Qualities of
The Show, Making Offerings to The Show, Generating Loving-Kindness
Toward Others, Making Offerings to Others, Revealing Our Assets,
Appreciating Others' Assets, The Looking-Forward To Next Month,
and The Hangover of Enlightenment. In addition to these, each tradition
has unique prayers reflecting those aspects of The Show it emphasizes. |
